How to delete your data

If you have used Consent Leads in any of the following ways, you can request deletion of all personal data we hold about you. We respond within 30 days, and usually faster.

You signed up for our Lite, Concierge, Founding or Custom tier
You connected an Instagram account to our reply system
You submitted the enquiries-lost calculator
You sent us a scope request, contact form, or any email
You received a cold email from us and replied

The fastest route

Email [email protected] with the subject line "Data deletion request". Include either:

The email address you used to interact with us, OR
The Instagram handle you connected (if applicable)

That is all we need. You do not need to explain why. You do not need to provide ID. You do not need to fill in a form. One email and we begin the deletion within 24 working hours.

Want it actioned even faster? Include the phrase "please delete all data" anywhere in the body of your email. That triggers our automated suppression flow which removes you from all mailing lists, the lead-routing pipeline, and any nurture sequences within minutes of receipt.

What gets deleted

When you request deletion, we remove:

Account data - your Stripe customer record, dashboard session, magic-link tokens, business onboarding form responses
Instagram connection - your IG access token, IG user ID, conversation history with the reply system, and your assistant's training data
Email + lead records - your row in our CRM, your calculator submission, your scope request, any inbound replies
Communications - we add your address to our cross-product suppression list so no future automated email reaches you

What we are required to retain

UK law requires us to keep limited records even after a deletion request. Specifically:

Financial records - if you paid for a subscription, HMRC requires we keep the invoice + payment record for 6 years
Suppression record - we keep your email on the suppression list permanently so we cannot accidentally email you again (this is the opposite of a data-retention problem)

Everything else is wiped from our active systems and from backups within 30 days.

If you used Instagram

If you connected an Instagram Business account to Consent Leads, the deletion above also revokes our access to your Instagram account on Meta's side. You can additionally revoke access manually at any time from Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites → Active → remove Consent Leads Reply.

Questions or complaints

If you do not get a response within 30 days, or if you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
